FVCA is Celebrating 50 Years of Ministry!

In 1977, Tony Danhelka, Paul Johannaber, and Champ Boutwell established Riverwoods Christian Center - a ministry dedicated to serving the Low-Income youth of the Fox River Valley.

50 Years later, Fox Valley Christian Action continues to provide opportunities for those same youth to encounter the LORD, and have a Life-Transforming relationship with him.

Will you join us in Celebrating 50 Years of all that God has done in and through FVCA?

50th Year Alumni Celebration

Held on June 19th 2026, was a wonderful reunion of past and present summer staff. It was a day filled with a tour of the campus and praising God for the campus. It was time spent with old friends reminising about the good times and challenges of being a summer camp counselor.

The day concluded with a dinner that celebrated God’s faithness over the last fifty years and prayers for God’s favor over the next fifty years and beyond.

50th Year Breakfast Celebration

Held on March 17th, 2026, this marked the 1st day of FVCA’s ministry 50 years ago. Pastors and Ministry Leaders from the Fox Valley had a wonderful time of celebration, encouragement, and prayer.

It was a sweet celebration of the transforming power of Jesus and His faithfulness in the Fox Valley for many years through His church and ministry leaders. We praise God for what he has done and what He will do in the future!
